Auerstedt is located right at the heart of a wine-growing region which effects the lifestyle of the town and region until the present day. The Thuringian wine gate pays tribute to this tradition and marks the start of the wine road of “Saale-Unstrut”. Marvel at the beauty of picturesque vineyards where you can also taste and purchase the delicious juice of the grape.

With its futuristic appeal, the willow palace at the edge of the village is another impressive building in Auerstedt. The Auerworld Palace was established in 1998 under the guidance of Swiss architect Marcel Kalberer. At the time of its creation, it was the largest willow building worldwide. The meditative power of the palace also inspires the visitors of the annual Auerworld Festival.
