MUSEUM WORLD
Visiting the museum world of Auerstedt, you gain insight into the eventful history of the Thuringian village. The museum of local history inside the castle provides information and an exhibition about the twin battles of Jena and Auerstedt in 1806, the history of rural life as well as Thuringian tradition.
The carriage museum is located vis-à-vis the castle and feaures 17 historic vehicles taken from the collection of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar – including the wedding carriage of Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna.
The museum world is currently closed.
